Metrobus service study continues with three November public meetings


Customer input to help improve service on four Metrobus lines

Metro will host public meetings on Nov. 3, 4 and 17 to continue discussions on the agency’s evaluation study for improving Metrobus service along four bus lines. At the meetings, Metro will present preliminary service recommendations that have resulted from a detailed assessment of the transit service, traffic operations and input gathered from riders, bus drivers, service planners and jurisdictional partners.

The public meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 3, will involve discussions about the McLean-Crystal City (23A and 23C) and Ballston-Bradlee-Pentagon (25A, 25C and 25D) lines and is scheduled from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Building, 4301 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, Va.

The public meeting on Thursday, Nov. 4, will involve discussions about the McLean-Crystal City Line (23A and 23C) and is scheduled from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Franklin Sherman Elementary, 6630 Brawner St., McLean, Va.

The public meeting on Nov. 17 will involve discussions about the McLean-Crystal City (23A and 23C) and Ballston-Bradlee-Pentagon (25A, 25C and 25D) lines and is scheduled from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Shirlington Public Library, 4200 Campbell Ave., Arlington, Va.

The meetings will begin with an open house from 6:30 to 7 p.m. followed immediately by the general meeting.

The study, which began in June and is expected to be completed by the end of the year, also involves the Bladensburg Road-Anacostia (B2) and Oxon Hill-Suitland (D12, D13 and D14).
