Metrobuses detour four routes on Thanksgiving Day


Local races temporarily close parts of area streets on Nov. 25

Metrobuses will detour four routes on Thursday, Nov. 25, in Virginia and Maryland due to Thanksgiving Day events.

In Alexandria, Va., routes 10A and 10B will detour from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. around parts of Commonwealth Avenue, between Luna Park Drive to West Cedar Street, due to the Potomac West Business Association‘s 35th annual Turkey Trot 5 Miler.

In Arlington, Va., route 4B will detour from 8 to 9:30 a.m. around parts of North Pershing Street, between North Oakland and North Fillmore streets, due to the Christ Church Arlington Turkey Trot 5k Fun Run/Walk.

In Bethesda, Md., route J2 will detour from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. around parts of Old Georgetown Pike and Rockville Pike due to the Bethesda Chevy Chase YMCA annual Turkey Chase 10K.
