To improve service reliability, Metro to conduct mid-day track work on the Red Line

Trains to share one track between Silver Spring and Forest Glen Metrorail stations on weekdays

Red Line trains will share one track for four hours a day between the Silver Spring and Forest Glen Metrorail stations weekdays between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. from Jan. 4 through Jan. 21, (excluding Jan. 17) to enable Metro to perform state of good repair work on the tracks in that area. The work will improve service reliability for riders and customers traveling between these stations should not anticipate any delays.

To alert customers about this upcoming daytime work, Metro will make train and system announcements and issue e-alerts.
