This month, in addition to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Weekend closure of the Foggy Bottom-GWU Metrorail station on the Blue and Orange Line, Metro will also conduct major weekend track work on the Red and Green lines to maintain the rail system in a state of good repair and help improve service reliability. During the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Weekend, all projects will begin at 10 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 14, and conclude on Monday, Jan. 17 at closing. For all other weekend projects, they will begin at 10 p.m. Friday night and conclude Sunday at closing.
