Extended detours to begin on four D.C. Metrobus routes

Construction project will affect traffic for 12 months starting Monday

A roadway construction project in the District of Columbia will cause Metrobuses to detour routes D3 and D6 along E Street, NW, for six months and U8 and X9 along Minnesota Avenue, NE, for 12 months beginning on Monday, Jan. 10.

Metrobuses will detour E Street using Seventh Street and will detour Minnesota Avenue using Hunt Place to and from Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue. For detailed information on the detours, please click here.

Metrobus customers can use the Next Bus information service to find out when buses will arrive at a given stop, by logging onto Metro’s website at metropensdoors.com or calling 202-637-7000 and saying, “Next Bus.”
