Day-long detour in D.C.; month-long detours in Maryland; previous detours revised

Metrobuses will detour one route starting today, Jan. 14, in the District of Columbia and four routes on Tuesday, Jan. 18, in Maryland.

Route D6 will detour from midnight Friday to 6 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 16, around 13th Street, NW, between F Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, and E Street, NW, between 12th and 14th streets due to the Black Entertainment Television Honors Awards ceremony.

Routes A11, A12, V14 and V15 will detour around Addison Road and Martin Luther King Jr. Highway in Seat Pleasant, Md., for about one month starting at 4 a.m. on Tuesday due to road construction.

Detours on the U8 and X9 routes in the District of Columbia that began last week have been revised, allowing buses to travel east on the X9 and west on the U8.

Metrobus customers can use the Next Bus information service to find out when buses will arrive at a given stop, by logging onto Metro’s website at metropensdoors.com or calling 202-637-7000 and saying, “Next Bus.”
