Access to Rosslyn Metrorail station, Rosslyn buses impacted by controlled construction blasts in Arlington

Customers still able to enter station, catch buses

Controlled construction blasting is scheduled to begin next to the Rosslyn Metrorail station starting the week of April 18th to make way for a private development project known as the 1812 N. Moore Street Development, constructed by Monday Properties. The work will periodically affect access to the rail station and bus stop locations.

Sidewalk and street traffic on N. Moore Street from the pedestrian skywalk above North Moore Street on the south, to 19th Street to the north will be temporarily halted for approximately 6 to 10 minutes prior to 6:30 a.m. on most weekdays for the next three months due to the controlled blasting. While this activity may cause slight bus delays due to the temporary street closure, it is scheduled to occur while pedestrian and vehicular traffic are minimal.

Customers can enter the Metrorail station through the Ft. Myer Drive entrance and southern access gate on North Moore Street to avoid the temporary sidewalk closure further north on N. Moore Street. Metro expects that elevator access will be maintained during these activities. Metro Transit Police and contractor personnel will be on hand to assist in directing pedestrians safely through the bus and station area.
