Metrobus Routes Detour This Weekend


Buses will temporarily reroute around special events and construction activities.

Metrobuses will detour several routes this weekend due to special events and construction activities.

Routes D8 and X2 will detour from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, around H St., N.E. North Capitol and 3rd St., N.E. for heavy crane lifting operations.

Route G2 will detour from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, around P St. between 17th and 18th St., N.W. for heavy crane lifting operations.

Routes 32, 34, 36, 64, 70, D6, P6, S2, S4, and V8 detour from 8:30 to 11 a.m. on Saturday May 14, around 3rd St., N.W. between E and F St., for the National Police Week 5K run.

Routes 92, A2, A5, A6, A8, W2, W3 and W4 will detour from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, around Alabama Ave., 7th St., Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., 4th St., Savannah St., and 6th St., S.E. for the Congress Heights Parade and Festival.

Routes 32, 34, 36, 90, 92, 96, D6, P6, and X8 detour from 5 a.m. to noon on Sunday May 15, around C St., N.E. between 4th and 6th Sts., N.E. for the Capitol Hill Classic 10K run.

Route P6 will detour from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 14 around 4th St., N.W. and S.W. between Constitution and Independence Ave., for the George Washington University Commencement.
