Metrobus Routes Detour this Weekend

Buses will temporarily reroute around special events.

Metrobuses will detour several routes this weekend due to special events and construction activities.

• Routes 64, 70, G2 and G8 will detour from Noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, around the 600 block of M St., N.W. for the United House of Prayer Memorial Day Parade.

• Routes 10B and 23A will detour from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, around Kenmore St., between 24th St., and Shirlington Rd., for a Memorial Day block party.

• Route B24 will detour from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, around Stonybrook Dr., between Sussex and Sage Lanes for the Bowie Memorial Day Parade.

• Routes 5A, the 7 Line, 32, 34, 36, 52, 54, 64, 70, P6, S2, S4 and V8 detour from Noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 29, for Rolling Thunder 2011.

• Routes 5A, 32, 34, 36, 52, 54, 64, 70, 80, P6, S2, S4 and V8 detour from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Monday, May 30, around Constitution Ave., N.W., between 6th and 23rd St., for the National Memorial Day Parade.
