Metrobus weekend detours


Buses will temporarily reroute around special events

Metrobuses will detour several routes this weekend due to special events. On Sunday, June 12, all Metrobuses that normally serve the Pentagon Transit Center will be rerouted to the Pentagon City station until 6 p.m., due to the United States Air Force Cycling Classic.

• Route 38B will detour from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, around Wilson Blvd. between Washington Blvd. & Fillmore Sts., for the Air Force Cycling Classic.

• Routes 32, 34, 36, 54, 64, 70, 96, D6, P6, S2, S4 and V8 will detour from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, around F St., N.W. between 12th and 13th Sts., for the National Press Club 5K run.

• Routes E2 and E3 will detour from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, around 30th Place, N.W. between Legation St., and Nebraska Ave., for a block party.

• Routes 42, 52, 54, D2, D6, G2 and L2 will detour from 6:30 to 9 p.m., on Saturday, June 11, between the 2400 block of N St., N.W. to the 1200 block of 14th St., N.W. for the Capital Pride Parade.

• Routes 32, 34, 36 and P6 will be detoured from 9 p.m., Saturday, June 11 to 11 p.m. on Sunday June 12, between Pennsylvania Ave., N.W., between 3rd and 6th Sts., for the Capital Pride Festival.

• On Sunday, June 12, from 4 a.m. to 6 p.m., all Metrobuses that normally service the Pentagon Transit Center will be diverted to the Pentagon City station due to the United States Air Force Cycling Classic.
