Metrobus weekend detours

Buses will temporarily reroute around special events

 Metrobuses will detour several routes this weekend due to special events.

• Routes 32, 34, 36, 54, 64, 70, P6, S2, S4 and V8 will detour from 3 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, around Pennsylvania Ave., N.W. between 13th and 14th Sts., for the Purple Stride DC 5K Walk and Festival.

• Routes W2 and W3 will detour from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, in the 1300 block of Southern Ave. S.E. for a special event at the United Medical Center.

• Route P6 will detour from 8 p.m., Saturday, June 18, to 5 p.m., Sunday, June 19 around Pennsylvania Ave., N.W., between 3rd and 7th Sts., for activities related to the DC Triathlon.

• Routes 5A, 13, 32, 34, 36, 52, 54, 63, 64, 70, 80, 96, A42, A46, A48, P6, S2, S4 and V8 will detour from 5 to 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 19, for the Washington DC Triathlon 2011.

• Routes 10A, 10G and 16P will detour from 7 to 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 19, from S. Joyce St., between S. Hayes St. and Army Navy Drive., for the Dash For Dads 4 miler and 1K walk.

• Route V7 will detour from 2 to 8 p.m., on Tuesday, June 21, around I St. S.E., between Potomac Ave., S.E. and 11th St. S.E. for the “Beat the Streets” Community Block Party.
