Bus service to operate on Saturday schedule on Monday, July 4


Several routes will be detoured due to fireworks, street closings; No late-night trips after midnight

On Monday, July 4, all Metrobus service will operate on a Saturday schedule. The following routes will experience detours due to special events throughout the region:

• Routes 5A, 13F, 13G, 32, 34, 36, 52, 54, 63, 64, 70, A42, A46, A48, P6, S2, S4 and V8 will be detoured from 6 a.m. to midnight due to street closures associated with festivities on the National Mall.

• Routes 34, 64, 70, A42, A46, A48, S2, S4 and V8 will detour from 6 a.m. to midnight around Constitution Ave., N.W. between 7th and 9th Sts., for the National Archives Annual July 4th celebration.

• Routes 34, 5A, 64, 70, S2, S4 and V8 will detour from 6 a.m. to midnight for the National Independence Day Parade.

• Routes 4H, 7A, 13F, 13G, 16B, 16E, 16G and 16P will detour from 6 a.m. to midnight due to street closures in Arlington County, VA.

• Route D6 will detour from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. around Whitehaven Parkway and MacArthur Blvd. for the Palisades July 4th parade.

• Route F4 will detour from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the Takoma Park Independence Day parade.

• Routes 7A and 7F will detour from 9 a.m. to noon for the Fairlington July 4 Parade.

On Monday, July 4, late-night service on select Metrobus routes will not operate after midnight. View Metrobus detours and routes not operating past midnight on Monday, July 4.
