Metrobus detours this weekend


Buses will temporarily reroute for special events

Several Metrobus routes will detour this weekend for special events.

Friday, September 9

  • Bus route A4 will detour from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday between Martin Luther King, Jr. Ave., and 2nd St. SW for an elementary school 9/11 day of Remembrance.

Saturday, September 10

  • Bus routes 7A, 7F, 9A, 10A, 16B, 16J, 23A, and 25A will detour from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday around Army Navy Drive, South Eads St., and North Perimeter Drive for a 5K race.

Sunday, September 11

  • Bus routes 90, 92, 93, 96 and L2 will detour from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday around 18th St., NW between Florida Ave., and Columbia Rd., for the Adams Morgan Day Festival.
  • Bus routes 7A, 7F, 16B and 16J will detour from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday around Rotary Drive in Arlington, VA, for Pentagon activities.
  • Bus routes 13F and 13G will detour from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday around 23rd St. NW, between Constitution Ave., and Memorial Circle for the Nation’s Triathlon event.
  • Bus routes 32 and 36 will detour from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday around Pennsylvania Ave., NW between 13th and 14th Sts. for the 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance.
