Metrobus detours this weekend


Buses will temporarily reroute for special events throughout the region

Several Metrobus routes will detour this weekend for special events throughout the region.

Friday, September 23

  • Bus routes 3Y, 16Y, 80 and S1 will detour from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 25, around 19th St., NW, between Pennsylvania Ave. and F. St., for the IMF World Bank Fall Meetings.
  • Bus route 9S and 23A will detour from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday around the 2300 block of Crystal Dr. in Crystal City, Arlington, VA, for a 5K run.

Saturday, September 24

  • Bus route 38B will detour from 3 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday around Wilson Blvd., between Washington Blvd. and Highland St., in Arlington, VA, for the 13th annual Clarendon Day.
  • Bus routes 4B, 5A and 38B will detour from 8 to 11 a.m. on Saturday around Wilson Blvd and Route 110, for the Clarendon 5-10K race.
  • Bus routes 96, U6 and W4 will detour from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., on Saturday around 49th St., N.E., between East Capitol and Ames St., for a Community Day/Health Fair and Parade.
  • Bus routes 90, 92 and 93 will detour from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday around 8th St., SE, between E and Eye Sts., Barracks Row Fall Festival on Capitol Hill.

Sunday, September 25

  • Bus routes 42, H2, H4 and H8 will detour from 6 a.m., to 11 p.m. on Sunday around Mt. Pleasant St., N.W., between 16th St., and Park Road for Fiesta DC.
  • Bus routes 7A, 7F, 16B, 16J and 25A will detour from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Sunday around Washington Blvd. and Columbia Pike, in Arlington, VA for the 8th annual Navy 5-miler run.
  • Bus routes D6 and L2 will detour from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. around 20th St., N.W. between L and M Sts., for the National Peace Corps Peaces Festival.

Monday, September 26

  • Bus routes H1 and L1 will detour from 10 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on Monday around C St., N.W. between 17th and 18th Sts., for a Martin Luther King Jr, event.
