Metrobus detours this weekend


Buses will temporarily reroute for special events throughout the region

Several Metrobus routes will detour this weekend for special events throughout the region.

Friday, September 30

  • Bus routes 9S and 23A will detour from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday around Crystal Dr. in Crystal City, Arlington, VA, between 12th St., South and 33rd St., South for a 5K run.

Saturday, October 1

  • Bus route B2 will detour from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday around Good Hope Road, SE, westbound between Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and 13th Street for a heavy crane lifting operation.
  • Bus routes 10A and 10B will detour from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday around Mt. Vernon Ave., between E. Bellefonte Ave. and E. Hume Ave. in Alexandria, VA, for a street festival.

Sunday, October 2

  • Bus routes 32 and 36 will detour from 4 a.m., to 10 p.m. on Sunday around Pennsylvania Ave. NW, between 12th and 14th Sts. for a street festival.
  • Bus route 10B will detour from 6 a.m. to noon on Sunday around S. Washington St., between Church St. and Alfred St. in Alexandria, VA, for the Woodrow Wilson Bridge Half Marathon.
