Metro to host meeting to discuss revised Prince George's County bus service improvements

Metro will host a public meeting on Monday, Nov. 14, to receive feedback about revised plans to adjust bus service in Prince George’s County.

The public is invited to attend the meeting, review revised plans and submit comments on route and schedule proposals that the objective of giving customers more reliable service.

Metro staff had originally proposed to discontinue service on the R3 bus route. The revised proposal would modify R3 service to provide rush-hour-only service between Greenbelt and Prince George's Plaza stations.

An open house will begin at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, followed by the public meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the following location:

Hyattsville, MD

Service adjustments would not be implemented earlier than mid-2012.

The meeting is accessible via Metrobus Routes R3, 86 and F8, and it is within close proximity to Prince George’s Plaza station on the Green Line. Get directions and maps
