Metro seeks input on W4 Route Service Evaluations

Community meetings scheduled for December 8 & 13

Metro will host two community meetings next week in cooperation with its jurisdictional partners to continue discussions on the Deanwood–Alabama Avenue Line (W4) Service Evaluation Study.

At the community meetings, to be held December 8 and 13, the project team will discuss preliminary findings and potential service improvement concepts.

The meetings are part of ongoing study to improve Metrobus service on some of the region’s most heavily used bus lines.

Riders are encouraged to attend one of the following public meetings to provide your input on the services that are being evaluated:

  • Thursday, December 8: 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Contee AME Zion Church, 903 Division Avenue NE.
  • Tuesday, December 13: 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Petey Greene Center, 2907 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE.

All members of the public are welcome, and no advance registration is required.

The meetings will take place in an “open house” format where participants can stop by any time between the beginning and end of the meeting to offer their input. There will be no set time for a presentation.

Metro hopes that the open format will promote a direct dialogue between Metrobus riders and project staff.
