Normal operations being restored on Blue and Orange lines

No longer single tracking; residual delays until about 7 p.m.

As of 6:10 p.m., Metro personnel have completed track repairs outside Stadium-Armory Station on the Blue and Orange Lines, and trains are resuming normal two-track operations. Crews replaced the broken track part, called a "frog," at the junction point where the Blue and Orange lines diverge just east of the station. The track part is located at one of the busiest switching locations on the system.

Customers should expect residual delays of approximately 10 minutes in both directions as normal train spacing is restored.
