Metro reminds customers that daylight-saving time begins early Sunday morning


Metrorail to close at 3 a.m. EDT (new time)

Daylight-saving time begins at 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 11. At that time, all clocks are moved ahead one hour. When that happens, it will become 3 a.m., and the Metrorail system will close.

The Metrorail system is open until 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.

Customers who are planning their trips should expect the last trains of the evening to pass through stations one hour earlier than usual on Saturday night.
