Travel Tips
- Race participants are encouraged to use a SmarTrip card or a plastic cover to protect paper farecards. In previous years, race participants have had their farecards demagnetized due to moisture.
- If planning to park at a Red Line station in Montgomery County, use a station other than Shady Grove. This weekend, buses will replace trains at Shady Grove Station due to scheduled track work.
- Customers traveling on the Blue and Orange lines should take note of scheduled track work. More info
- To avoid lines at the end of the event, be sure your SmarTrip or Farecard is loaded with enough value for your return trip.
- The marathon is expected to have a significant impact on Metrobus operations. View planned detours and service information
