Metrorail to conduct customer survey

Survey cards to be distributed April 13 to May 25

More than 400,000 survey cards will be distributed to customers entering the Metrorail system from Friday, April 13, to Friday, May 25, as Metro officials seek information for planning and operational purposes.

The questionnaires will be distributed at all 86 Metrorail stations during the survey period. Customers are asked to complete the brief questionnaire for the trip they are making when they receive the survey form. Some customers may receive multiple surveys and are asked to complete the form each time they receive a survey as the questionnaire asks for information about the customer’s current trip. Randomly selected participants will win SmarTrip cards throughout the six week survey period.

There are a number of ways to return the survey. Customers may place the completed survey card into collection boxes near station managers’ kiosks; mail the self-addressed, pre-paid survey card; or complete the survey online using the information provided on the survey form.

The Metrorail customer survey provides critical information about Metrorail ridership that is used for operations analysis and planning.

“We encourage our riders to complete the survey for each trip that they receive a survey card. Getting this information is extremely important to us to plan improvements to our services and address growth needs,” said Metro General Manager and CEO Richard Sarles.
