Metro seeks input on the Wilson Boulevard Line Service Evaluations

Transportation agencies, riders to discuss service issues, potential solutions

In cooperation with its jurisdictional partners, Metro will host two community meetings--on Wednesday, April 25th and Thursday, April 26th--to discuss the Wilson Boulevard Line (1A, 1B, 1E, 1F, 1Z) and the Fair Oaks to Dunn Loring Line (1C) Service Evaluation Study. At the community meetings, the project team will discuss preliminary findings and potential service improvement concepts.

The meetings are part of ongoing study to improve Metrobus service on some of the region’s most heavily used bus lines.

Riders are encouraged to attend the following public meetings to provide your input on the service evaluation of the 1A, 1B, 1E, 1F, 1Z and 1C Lines:

Meeting 1
Wednesday, April 25, 2012
5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Central United Methodist Church, 4201 Fairfax Drive, Arlington [map & directions]

Meeting 2
Thursday, April 26, 2012
6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Knox Presbyterian Church, 7416 Arlington Boulevard, Falls Church [map & directions]

All members of the public are welcome and no advance registration is required.

The format of the meetings will be “open house,” where participants can come by at any time between the beginning and end of the meeting to offer their input; there will be no set time for a presentation. Metro hopes that the open format will promote a direct dialogue between Metrobus riders and project staff, and that the absence of a meeting schedule will appeal to those who have only a few minutes to participate.
