Red Line delays affecting evening commute

Metro is advising Red Line customers of delays affecting the evening commute due to a third-rail problem outside Bethesda Station.

  • Currently delays are estimated at 10-20 minutes for most Red Line trains.
  • Some Red Line trains are turning at Van Ness Station for service back to Glenmont.
  • Customers should allow additional travel time and expect crowding conditions until the situation is resolved.
