Red Line Service delays due to track problem

Single tracking on Red Line

As of 7:00 a.m., Red Line service is experiencing delays of 10-15 minutes in both directions due to a track problem outside Glenmont. 

During the overnight hours, crews identified a track problem between Glenmont and Wheaton requiring adjustment or repair, and unscheduled track work was initiated. As of 7:00 a.m., personnel remain along the tracks working to complete repairs.

Until personnel have completed their work, Red line trains will be single tracking between Glenmont and Wheaton.
