MEDIA ADVISORY: Metro Transit Police to host swearing-in ceremony for visiting Inauguration transit police officers

150 transit police from 15 agencies to assist Metro on Inauguration Day

The Metro Transit Police Department will host a swearing-in ceremony for law enforcement officers who will assist Metro with crowd management and security on Inauguration Day.  The roughly 150 officers represent 15 agencies from as far as San Francisco, Seattle and Portland, Ore.

WHAT: Swearing-in ceremony and briefing

WHEN: Sunday, January 20, 2013 -- briefing remarks at 7:30 a.m. followed by deputization (swearing-in) at 8:30 a.m.

WHERE: Marriott Inn and Conference Center, UMUC. 3501 University Boulevard East. Hyattsville MD.
