Orange Line service continues to experience delays in both directions due to unscheduled track repairs underway outside West Falls Church Station.

Earlier this morning, personnel discovered damaged signal equipment on the outbound track that needed to be repaired before trains could operate through the area. Preliminarily, the damage is believed to be related to overnight testing associated with the Silver Line. As a result, Orange Line trains are single tracking between East Falls Church and West Falls Church stations, resulting in delays of about 15 minutes for most customers.

Repairs are expected to be completed by midday today.
