Metro winter weather service advisory - 4:15 a.m.

 4:15 a.m. update

Metrorail: Trains will operate on a regular weekday schedule for the start of service on Wednesday. Customers may encounter minor delays due to snow and ice clearing efforts; please allow additional travel time.  Also note that service levels may change based on conditions during the day; customers should always check wmata.com before starting their trip or sign up for MetroAlerts to receive updated information by email or text message.

Metrobus:  Certain commuter bus routes will be cancelled today; check the bus alerts page for a complete list.  A complete list will be posted at wmata.com within 20 minutes.  Other routes will start the day with near regular service, but all service can be expected to be reduced or even possibly suspended as conditions deteriorate.  For this reason, it is important that customers get where they need to be prior to the worst of the storm.  Metro hopes to give two hours notice prior to suspending bus service.  Because safety is always our highest priority, it may be necessary to detour some routes off of hills and other problem areas. Customers should review pre-determined Metrobus route adjustments for winter weather. Metro strongly recommends that bus customers sign up for MetroAlerts for their bus route to receive information about detours, delays and other changes.

MetroAccess:  Due to the storm and expected difficult road conditions, Metro has suspended all MetroAccess paratransit service on Wednesday, March 6. Customers who wish to reschedule their trip for a future date should call the MetroAccess reservations center at 301-562-5360. No decision has yet been made regarding service for Thursday, March 7.
