Riders' Advisory Council to host "listening session" in Alexandria
The Metro Riders’ Advisory Council will host three “listening sessions” in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia.
The two-hour meetings will provide riders with the opportunity to have an open dialogue with Council members and share their feedback about Metro service. Riders’ input will also help the Council refine its priorities for the coming year and its positions on issues of interest to riders.
The first session is scheduled:

The Charles Houston Recreation Center is four blocks east of Braddock Road Station on the Blue and Yellow lines. Bus service between Braddock Road is available as follows:
- Metrobus 10A, 10B, DASH AT3 (destination Hunting Point) to Pendleton and N. Patrick streets, 1 block south of the Center
- DASH AT2 (destination Lincolnia) and AT5 (destination Van Dorn Metro) to Madison and N. Patrick streets, 1 block north of the Center
All members of the public are welcome. The meeting location is wheelchair accessible and sign language interpretation will be provided. Any individual who requires additional accommodation to participate in this meeting should call 202-962-2511 or TTY: 202-638-3780 as soon as possible in order for Metro to make necessary arrangements.
The Riders’ Advisory Council advises the agency's Board of Directors on issues affecting Metrobus, Metrorail and MetroAccess service. It was created in December 2005 to improve communications with riders.
The 21-member council is made up of six individuals each from Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia, two at-large members and the Chairman of Metro's Accessibility Advisory Committee. More information about the Council can be found on Metro’s website.
