ORIGINAL RELEASE FOLLOWS:

Blue and Orange line trains are experiencing significant delays due to a disabled train outside Clarendon Station. The disabled train experienced a brake problem that car technicians have been unable to resolve. As a result, Orange Line trains are single tracking between Foggy Bottom and Clarendon, and Blue Line trains are single tracking between Foggy Bottom and Arlington Cemetery.

Passengers aboard the disabled train have been transferred to another train.  Current passenger delays on the Blue and Orange lines are up to 60 minutes.

Metro is advising Blue Line riders traveling to or from Virginia to use the Yellow Line as an alternate via L'Enfant Plaza Station.
