Riders' Advisory Council to host "listening session" in Largo

Metro’s Riders’ Advisory Council will host its second of three “listening sessions” in Maryland on Monday, November 25.

The two-hour meeting will provide riders with the opportunity to have an open dialogue with Council members and share their feedback about Metro service. Riders’ input will also help the Council refine its priorities for the coming year and its positions on issues of interest to riders.

The next session is scheduled as follows:

Monday, November 25, 2013 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
Largo-Kettering Library
9601 Capital Lane
Largo, MD

The library is located approximately one mile from Largo Town Center Station on the Blue Line. Attendees can also use Metrobus routes C21, 22, 26, 29 (destination Central Avenue) to Harry S Truman Drive and Capital Lane to access the library.

All members of the public are welcome. The meeting location is wheelchair accessible. Any individual who requires sign language interpretation or other accommodation to participate in this meeting should call 202-962-2511 or TTY: 202-638-3780 as soon as possible in order for Metro to make necessary arrangements.

The Riders’ Advisory Council advises the agency's Board of Directors on issues affecting Metrobus, Metrorail and MetroAccess service. It was created in December 2005 to improve communication with riders.

The 21-member council is made up of six individuals each from Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia, two at-large members and the Chairman of Metro's Accessibility Advisory Committee. More information about the Council can be found on Metro’s website.
