Metro service information for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
On Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Monday, Jan. 20, Metro service will operate as follows:
- Metrorail: The rail system will open at 5 a.m. and close at midnight. Trains will operate on a Saturday schedule with no track work on any line. Off-peak fares will be in effect all day, and parking will be free at all Metro-operated facilities.
- Metrobus: Buses will operate on a Saturday supplemental schedule, with some late-night (post-midnight) trips cancelled on select routes. For details, please check the timetable for your route.
- MetroAccess: Service will operate normal hours. However, subscription trips will be cancelled unless specifically requested.
In addition, Metro's customer information call center will be closed Monday in observance of the holiday. Automated schedule and service information is available 24 hours a day by calling (202) 637-7000 or online at wmata.com.
