For immediate release: March 4, 2014

Metrobus service to resume normal routing starting at 1 p.m.

NOTE: Information below was accurate at the time this news release was issued.  For updated information, please refer to the service advisory.

Most Metrobus service will resume normal routing starting at 1 p.m. today.  Many routes had been operating on planned snow detours since 7 a.m. to avoid hilly terrain, narrow streets and other problem areas.

The majority of Metro's 316 bus routes will resume normal service.  However, the following three routes will remain suspended due to road conditions: M8, M9 and U4

In addition, the following ten routes will continue to operate on snow detours: A4, A6, A8, D12, P12, R12, S80, E6, 3A and 3T.  For information about snow detours on these routes, please visit appropriate snow detour page:

Metro continues to encourage bus riders to allow additional time and use extreme caution when traveling.  For your safety, never stand in the roadway while waiting for a bus.  For additional delay and detour information affecting individual routes, check the bus alerts page or sign up for MetroAlerts.
