Metrorail to open at 5 a.m. on Sunday, April 6, for 10-Mile race
Two-hour early opening for Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10-Mile Run
Metrorail will open two hours early, at 5 a.m., on Sunday, April 6, for the Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10-Mile Run.
Race participants should travel to the following stations:
- Smithsonian (Blue/Orange lines) - 0.25 miles from start
- L'Enfant Plaza (Green/Yellow/Blue/Orange lines) - 0.8 miles from start
- Metro Center (Red/Blue/Orange lines) - 0.9 miles from start
- Archives (Green/Yellow lines) - 0.9 miles from start
Travel Tips
- To avoid lines, be sure to load enough fare value on your SmarTrip or paper farecard for your entire roundtrip.
- If using a paper farecard, remember to add $2 for each roundtrip. To avoid this additional charge, use a SmarTrip card. You can purchase a SmarTrip at any Metrorail station.
- If using a paper farecard, protect it from moisture during the race.
The additional two hours of service is funded through an agreement with event organizers.
