Metro Performers to take Kennedy Center Millennium Stage

Metro’s Art in Transit Program is collaborating with The Kennedy Center Millennium Stage to present MetroPerforms! Showcase this Friday evening.  The event will feature nine performances by selected musicians and vocalists who have performed at Metro stations and on the National Mall this summer through MetroPerforms!, the performing arts component of Art in Transit.

MetroPerforms! Showcase will be presented Friday, August 29, 2014, 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Millennium Stage.  The event is free and open to the public.

The showcase will include a variety of genres including, classical, jazz, and R&B music performances. The lineup includes performances by violinist, Charles Tolbert, vocalist, Davina McKoy, guitarist, Jacob Sellner, flute and guitar duet, Tony Harrod and Ralph Peters, vocalist, Brian Blunt, classical trio, Bob Carrier, Caroline Park and Bill Maron, vibraphonist, Henry Manning, vocalist-guitarist, Marsha Goodman-Wood and acappella group, Supreme Chord.

The Kennedy Center is accessible via Foggy Bottom Metrorail station on the Orange, Silver and Blue lines.
