Survey to help shape future of bus service in region

Metro is asking area customers and residents to participate in the 2014 Metrobus Passenger Survey now through November 23.

The self-administered survey is a key part of Metro’s efforts to improve Metrobus service and plan for future growth throughout the region. The fall portion of the 2014 Metrobus Passenger Survey.

Information from the survey is used by Metro planners to plan bus routes, project areas for increased ridership, identify key transit markets within the region and reflects the characteristics and behaviors of customers in those markets.

Surveyors will be onboard buses to distribute and collect questionnaires in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia between 5:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Riders can share their feedback on board a Metrobus with a surveyor or by taking the survey online.

Customers completing the survey can enter to win a drawing for a $100 Smartrip card.  

The last Metrobus Passenger Survey was conducted in 2008.
