Metro resolves radio reliability issue at Wheaton Station
Metro radio technicians have resolved an isolated radio-coverage issue that affected parts of Wheaton Station.
Montgomery Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) notified Metro of the issue on Friday afternoon, following routine testing by fire department personnel.
Of the 12 Montgomery County stations tested by MCFRS (reported to Metro on Friday), Wheaton was the only station where testing yielded negative results. The problem was isolated to parts of the station, such as the far north end of the platforms; tests conducted on the south end of the Wheaton platform showed good radio coverage.
Metro routinely works with the jurisdictions to test radio equipment and resolve any reported issues.
