MEDIA ADVISORY: Metro Interim General Manager/CEO to provide update on Aug. 6 derailment at 4:00 p.m. today
Metro Interim General Manager and CEO Jack Requa will provide an update on the investigation into last week’s derailment of a non-passenger train outside Smithsonian Station. The briefing will be held TODAY at 4:00 p.m. at Metro headquarters and is open to all media.
On Thursday, Aug. 6, the derailment caused a major service disruption for Blue, Orange and Silver lines between McPherson Square and Federal Center SW stations while Metro crews removed the train and made repairs outside Smithsonian Station.
