National search underway for Metro's new Chief Safety Officer

Metro has initiated a national search for the transit authority's top safety official.  The Chief Safety Officer (CSO) reports to the General Manager/CEO and provides strategic leadership to ensure the day to day safety of the system, its employees and customers.

Metro is seeking a dynamic and experienced safety executive who has proven experience in leading an agency-wide safety program as CSO. The scope of responsibility includes the direction, oversight, development, management, and implementation of all facets of a system safety management program.
