MEDIA ADVISORY: Full-scale emergency exercise at Eisenhower Ave Station Sunday Morning
Metro Transit Police and the City of Alexandria will conduct a full-scale emergency response exercise at Eisenhower Ave Metrorail Station on Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 8:30 a.m. until approximately 2:00 p.m.
The exercise will take place on the elevated track and tunnel between Eisenhower Ave and King St-Old Town stations and involves more than 100 participants. Metro Transit Police and Metrorail operations personnel, Alexandria Police, Alexandria Fire and Alexandria’s office of Emergency Manage will take part in the drill which will simulate a real-world emergency scenario involving a derailment.

*All credentialed members of the media must park in the designated media area located in the parking lot adjacent to the station and check in upon arrival. A designated media area will be established for viewing the exercise.
