Takoma Langley Crossroads Transit Center
On December 22, 2016 the Takoma Langley Crossroads Transit Center opened its door at 7900 New Hampshire Avenue, Hyattsville, MD. It is the largest non-Metrorail bus-to-bus transfer point in the region serving Metrobus, Ride On, The Bus and the University of Maryland Shuttle. New Metrobus Service: NH2 National Harbor Alexandria Line
On October 23, 2016 the new NH2 National Harbor Alexandria began service. This new route will connect Carlyle and Old Town neighborhoods of Alexandria, Virginia to the National Harbor area in Maryland. New Transportation Association of Greater Springfield (TAGS) Buses
On Monday, December 5, 2016, Metro will replace the TAGS shuttle-type buses with new 30-foot diesel electric hybrid buses. These buses offer more seating capacity, better visibility and offer fully accessible low-floor boarding with ramp. These new vehicles will help maintain a reliable ride on these shuttle routes.
