Blue/Orange/Silver lines: Speed restriction at Rosslyn may cause delays into DC

Advisory Effective: 10/23/17 - 10/24/17

UPDATE: For the start of the Metrorail service day, Tuesday, October 24, the speed restriction impacting inbound Orange, Silver & Blue line service at Rosslyn has been removed. Overnight crews worked to resolve the track condition. Metro thanks all of our customers for their patience during this delay.

For safety reasons, Metro track inspectors have placed a slow speed restriction on a 1,900-foot section of the inbound Blue/Orange/Silver track near Rosslyn Station due to a reported track condition.

The slow speed restriction may result in train congestion and cause delays in the direction of Largo/New Carrollton. Some trains may experience delays of 10-15 minutes.

Metro personnel will assess the situation during the midday hours Monday, October 23, and will be able to determine when repairs can be completed. An update will be posted to this page.

Outbound service toward Vienna/Wiehle/Franconia is not affected.

We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
