Foggy Bottom Bike Lockers Replacement

Advisory Effective: 11/17/25 - 11/20/25

We’re upgrading bike parking across the system! New lockers, smart racks, repair stations, and U racks are being added over the next few years. The first installations begin at Foggy Bottom Metro Station (Nov 17–20) and Eastern Market Metro Station (Nov 20–22).

Existing bike lockers and some U rack amenities will be unavailable for use at Foggy Bottom Metro Station starting November 17 until installation is complete. Foggy Bottom will receive five (5) new lockers, which will be available immediately after installation for on-demand rental through a mobile app. Hourly rental for lockers start at 5¢/hour, up to $1/day.

Customer Information

• Some bike amenities, such as U racks, may be unavailable during installation but will be ready to use immediately once installation is complete
• Please look for posted signs and remove all personal property from existing lockers and racks by November 15, 2025
• Lockers will be available immediately after installation is complete. Instructions for using the app will be available on the locker decal. More information can be found at wmata.com/service/bikes
