Beginning 5:00am Sunday, May 12 through 11:59pm Monday, May 13, buses will detour due to the Police Unity Tour Ride-In and 36th Annual Candlelight Vigil event. Please allow additional travel time and avoid the area if possible.
Street Closures:
- 4th Street between Jefferson Street and Madison Drive NW
- Madison Drive and Jefferson Drive between 3rd and 7th Streets, NW
- E and F Streets between 4th and 5th Streets NW
- 7th Street between Constitution and Independence Ave NW
The following routes will detour:
32 Pennsylvania Avenue eastbound towards Southern Avenue Station
36 Pennsylvania Avenue eastbound towards Naylor Rd Station
- Buses begin detouring on Pennsylvania Ave NW at 7th St, resuming regular route on Independence Ave NW at 3rd St.
- Buses begin detouring on Independence Ave SW at 3rd St, resuming regular route on Pennsylvania Ave NW at Constitution Ave.
74 Convention CTR-SW Waterfront northbound towards Convention Center
- Buses begin detouring on Independence Ave SW at 7th St, resuming regular route on Pennsylvania Ave NW at 7th St.
74 Convention CTR-SW Waterfront southbound towards Buzzard Point
- Buses begin detouring on Pennsylvania Ave NW at 7th St, resuming regular route on Independence Ave SW at 7th St.
D6 Sibley Hosp Stadium-Armory eastbound towards Stadium-Armory
- Buses begin detouring on E St NW at 6th St, resuming regular route on Massachusetts Ave NW at H St.
D6 Sibley Hosp Stadium-Armory westbound towards Sibley Hospital
- Buses begin detouring on New Jersey Ave NW at E St, resuming regular route on E St NW at 6th St.
- Buses begin detouring on Independence Ave SW at 4th St, resuming regular route on Constitution Ave NW at Pennsylvania Ave.
P6 Anacostia-Eckington southbound towards Anacostia Station
