GTFS

Significant updates took place to our static and real-time General Transit Feed Specification (GTFS) that may impact your applications utilizing our APIs or data feeds.
Metrobus Changes, Effective June 29, 2025
Metro has implemented a brand new Metrobus Network - known as Better Bus - to include:
- Overhaul of bus stops, routes, and destinations
- All new bus route designations
- Renaming of all bus routes
- Introduction of new route paths throughout the system
- Discontinuation of approximately 500 bus stops (approximately 5% of total Metrobus stops)
What Remains Unchanged
- No modifications to Metro's GTFS-RT endpoints
- No changes to the schema of the GTFS static and GTFS-RT feeds
Resources and Timelines
- For detailed information, including route profiles and the list of eliminated stops, please visit Metro's Better Bus homepage
- A draft version of our bus static GTFS was posted on our GTFS API page on or about June 6, 2025.
- The finalized GTFS data was made available in the GTFS API on June 25, 2025 (the Wednesday before the June 29 activation) via the existing production Bus Static GTFS API endpoint.
Implementation Note
- To ensure continuous service and prevent data outages, the updated Better Bus data must be integrated into your applications.
