Routes 5A, 30N, 30S, 31, 32, 33, 36, 42, 52, 63, 64, 70, 74, 79, 80, G8, L2, N6, P6, S2, S4, S9 and X2 will detour on Independence Day due to festivities occurring near the National Mall in the District of Columbia. During this time, route 5A will operate between Dulles Airport and Rosslyn Metrorail station only. Customers are encouraged to plan ahead, allow additional travel time, and consider transferring to Metrorail whenever possible. 

The Arlington County Police Department, Virginia State Police, U.S. Park Police and Virginia Department of Transportation will close multiple roadways in Arlington County. Metrobuses that normally serve Pentagon Metrorail station will be rerouted to Pentagon City Metrorail station. Learn more here.
