Temporary Bus Relocations at Shady Grove-West

Advisory Effective: 2/20/26 - 4/6/26

Beginning February 23, Bus shelters J and K at Shady Grove-West bus loop will temporarily close and relocate to temporary stops T1 (Bus Shelter J) and T2 (Bus Shelter K.)

Beginning on March 9, Bus Shelters L and M at Shady Grove-West bus loop will temporarily close and relocation to temporary stops T1 (Bus Shelter L) and T2 (Bus Shelter M.)

Customer Information

• On 2/23, Bus service relocated to stops T1 (temporarily serving Bus Shelters J) & T2 (temporarily service Bus Shelters K) and until installation is complete. Please look for directional signs.
• Riders should follow posted signage directing them to the temporary stops along the Shady Grove-West bus loop.

Safety

• All temporary bus stop areas and construction zones will be clearly marked. For your safety, please stay clear of work areas and follow all posted signs.
• Expect possible noise during construction work hours.

Launched in 2023 through the Bus Stop and Shelter Improvements Program, our ongoing Better Bus initiative continues replacing some of the region’s oldest bus shelters—many in place for nearly 50 years. The new shelters maintain weather protection while adding enhanced safety features such as translucent walls, LED‑lit roofs for improved visibility, and designated accessibility areas with AIDs and ADA‑compliant seating.
