Temporary Detour: The Freedom 250 National Memorial Day Parade

On Monday, May 25, from 7:00am until 7:00pm, buses will detour due to the Freedom 250 National Memorial Day Parade. Please sign up for MetroAlerts at www.wmata.com/metroalerts for service information.

  • 4th St from Pennsylvania Ave, NW to Independence Ave, SW
  • 6th St from Pennsylvania Ave to Constitution Ave, NW
  • 7th St from Pennsylvania Ave, NW to Independence Ave, SW
  • 9th St from Pennsylvania Ave to Constitution Ave, NW
  • 10th St from Pennsylvania Ave to Constitution Ave, NW
  • Constitution Avenue from Pennsylvania Avenue to 15th Street, NW
  • Madison Dr from 3rd St to 14th St, NW
  • Jefferson Dr from 3rd St to 14th St, SW
  • 12th St from Pennsylvania Ave to Madison Dr, NW
  • 14th St from Pennsylvania Ave, NW to Independence Ave, SW
  • SE/SW Freeway-Access to 12th St Tunnel from I-395 Exit ramps
  • 12th St Tunnel Exit from Independence Avenue, SW
  • Constitution Ave from 15th St to 23rd St, NW
  • Inbound I-395 (14th St Bridge). All traffic will be sent eastbound on I-395 SW Freeway
  • Inbound I-395 (14th St Bridge - HOV). All traffic will be sent eastbound on I-395 SW Freeway
  • 17th St from New York Ave, NW to Independence Ave, SW
  • 18th St from E St to Constitution Ave, NW
  • 19th St from E St to Constitution Ave, NW
  • Virginia Ave from 24th St to Constitution Ave, NW

 

The following routes will detour:

D10 Pennsylvania Ave

  • Buses will operate between Southern Ave Station and a bus stop located on H St at 18th St, NW (stop ID# 1001148).

D1X Pennsylvania Ave Limited

  • Buses will operate between Naylor Road Station and a bus stop located on Pennsylvania Ave at 8th St, SE (stop ID# 1000654).

D30 N Capitol St

  • Buses will operate between Fort Totten Station and a bus stop located on E St at 7th St, NW (stop ID# 1001011).

D32 Rhode Island Ave- Ft Lincoln

  • Buses will operate between Fort Lincoln and a bus stop located on E St at 8th St, NW (stop ID# 1000997).

D40 7th St – Georgia Ave

  • Buses will operate between Silver Spring Station and a bus stop located on 9th St at F St, NW (stop ID# 1001055).

D4X 7th St – Georgia Ave Limited

  • Buses will operate between Silver Spring Station and a bus stop located on 7th St at H St, NW (stop ID# 1003418).

D44 11th St

  • Buses will operate between Fort Totten Station and a bus stop located on 11th St at G St, NW (stop ID# 1001068).

D50 14th St northbound towards 14th St & Colorado

  • Buses begin detouring on Maine Ave, SW at 7th St, resuming regular route on 14th St, NW at K St.

D50 14th St southbound towards Waterfront

  • Buses begin detouring on 14th St, NW at H St, resuming regular route on M St, SW at 6th St.

D5X 14th St Limited northbound towards Takoma

  • Buses begin detouring on F St, NW at 13th St, resuming regular route on 14th St, NW at K St.
