Temporary Detour: Wheaton Bus Shelter Replacement Project

Routes Affected: M12, M20, M22

Effective with the start of service on Monday, May 11 until Monday, May 25, the first phase of bus shelter replacement at Wheaton will begin. This phase will impact bus bays A, B, C, D, and E. Temporary bus bays will be established on Georgia Avenue southbound, T1, T2, and T3, and Veirs Mill Road westbound, T4. The following routes will detour:

M12 University Blvd eastbound to Hyattsville Crossing

• Buses begin detouring on Viers Mill Rd at University Blvd, (bus will service stop on Georgia Ave at Reedie Dr, T1) resuming regular route on Viers Mill Rd at University Blvd.

M12 University Blvd westbound to Twinbrook

• Buses begin detouring on Georgia Ave at Reedie Dr (bus will service stop T3), resuming regular route on Viers Mill Rd at University Blvd.

M20 Wheaton-Silver Spring northbound to Wheaton

• Buses begin detouring on Viers Mill Rd at Georgia Ave (bus will service stop T4), resuming regular route on Viers Mill Rd at University Blvd.

M20 Wheaton-Silver Spring southbound to Silver Spring

• Buses begin detouring on Georgia Ave at Reedie Dr (bus will service stop T2), resuming regular route on Georgia Ave at Viers Mill Rd.

M22 Olney-Bethesda northbound to Olney

• Buses begin detouring on University Blvd at Viers Mill Rd (bus will service stop T4), resuming regular route on Viers Mill Rd at University Blvd.

M22 Olney-Bethesda southbound to Bethesda

• Buses begin detouring on Georgia Ave at Reedie Dr (bus will service stop T2), resuming regular route on University Blvd at East Ave.
