In January 2026, Metro began replacing one platform escalator and one entrance escalator with new models that are more durable and reliable. The project is expected to be completed by June, 2026. The escalators are being installed as part of an ongoing effort to replace 139 escalators across the Metrorail system by 2028.

Customer Information

  • One platform escalator and one entrance escalators will be replaced.
  • All station entrances, the elevator, stairs, and adjacent escalators will remain open.
  • For your safety, stay clear of the construction zone and follow all posted signs.
