Hyattsville Crossing Pedestrian Bridge Elevators Closed

This is a reminder that the elevators on both sides of the pedestrian bridge, that goes across East-West Hwy near Hyattsville Crossing Station, have been closed indefinitely. Metro will provide temporary shuttle service (during Metro Rail operating hours) between the station and the north and south sides of the pedestrian bridge. Signage will direct customers to the three temporary shuttle locations.

Customer Impacts

• The pedestrian bridge elevators will no longer be accessible.
• Temporary Shuttle Options:
  • To request the shuttle, customers can call 240-595-0960 (Mon. - Thurs., 5 a.m. - 11:30 p.m., Fri. 5 a.m. - 1:30 a.m., Sat. 6 a.m. to 1:30 a.m., and Sun. 6 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.)
  • Shuttle Location 1: Hyattsville Crossing Station Kiss & Ride Surface Lot (south side of the station)
  • Shuttle Location 2: At the pedestrian bridge on the south side (underneath the bridge)
  • Shuttle Location 3: Target parking lot closest to the pedestrian bridge on the north side.
